Who I am..

If we stop identifying with things that we are not, our mind will become still.  That’s all it takes to meditate.  –  Sadhguru

As I approach a very busy time of year, I need to be conscious and aware of my focus.  I need to remember to focus on who “I AM”  and let go of who I am not.   I am not anger, I am love, I am not stress, I am peace, I am not alone, I am connected to everything and everyone.  Below is a focus meditation I created.

FOCUS MEDITATION

Find a quiet relaxing place to sit

Take some deep breaths in and out, relax your shoulders and lower back.

Focus on the word love.  Where in my body can I feel and identify love within me. Take time to connect to this love.

Inhale love.

Focus on the word peace.  Where in my body can I feel and identify peace within me. Take time to connect to this peace.

Inhale peace.

Focus of the word oneness.  Where in my body can I feel and identify oneness within me.  Where can I feel my connection to the earth and to the energy around me. Find this feeling, and re-connect to everything.

Inhale oneness.

May you feel peace, love and oneness always.  Namaste.

  1. This is a very timely post ~ when the holiday seasons and get togethers and work all collide together at this time of year, it always seems that something is going to give (or give out). I’ve thought about meditation before…and not a bad idea but for now I will follow your mantra: “I am not anger, I am love, I am not stress, I am peace, I am not alone, I am connected to everything”
🙂 Wishing you a great weekend.

    1. Yes it’s a crazy season for everyone Randall and when family get together it can be stressful too. Just taking a few minutes each day to remember who we are is a meditation. Thankyou for your comments. 🙂
