My internal dialogue is filled with memories of things that have happened before, and each day, I am either moving toward or away from re-creating another version of that experience. Whether I have a negative or a positive experience doesn’t matter, what matters is how I relay those experiences in my mind and whether I choose to keep creating the same story.
With every thought I have, every word I say, and every action I take, I am creating the story of my life and when I acknowledged this incredible responsibility, I started to see what stories I was listening to and I found there was a long, long list of limiting stories!! and so I began re-creating them with positive new stories.
Everything I have experienced has come through a perception—taste, touch, sight, sound, or smell—and this generates feelings about my experiences. These feelings trigger a thought, which I then identify as an emotion, labeling the experience as good or bad, right or wrong, happy or sad.
Rewriting any part of my story in life requires me to see where I am limiting myself, and from there, I work out how I can start re-creating it with new thoughts and actions. I ask, “How can I frame my stories in a positive way?” or “How can I re-create new stories in my mind and start making them become real?” It’s a daily practice as we all know, but every time I practice this through visualizations, stillness and focus, I see positive results.
Happy Creating my friends!
